Movie Nights on The Lawn Series

We are teaming up with our friends at the Cape Ann Community Cinema  and HelpFlix once again for our second annual Movie Nights on the Lawn series! This summer, our theme is “Worlds of Wonder at the Castle” and these family-friendly movies all have a magical/fantasy storyline.

Join us for:

* July 7: Wizard of Oz

* July 14: Encanto

* July 21: Willow

* July 28: Labyrinth

Bring a picnic dinner and a blanket, as these events are carry in/carry out & lawn seating only.

Doors open at 6pm, movies starts at sundown (approx. 8pm.) Concessions will be available for purchase. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be moved inside to the Great Hall.

*This ticket grants you access to the Summer Movies at the Castle presentation which will be held outside on the ocean facing lawn as well as access to the Museum Shop. At the time of this event, the Museum will be closed to tours. If movie ticket holders wish tour Hammond Castle Museum on the day of their ticketed event, Self-Guided Tour tickets may be purchased in the Museum Shop at a 20% discount. Proof of purchase of the movie event will be required. All proceeds from this program support additional programs and ongoing Museum restorations.

* July 7: Wizard of Oz:

When a tornado rips through Kansas, Dorothy (Judy Garland) and her dog, Toto, are whisked away in their house to the magical land of Oz. They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow (Ray Bolger) that needs a brain, a Tin Man (Jack Haley) missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr) who wants courage. The wizard asks the group to bring him the broom of the Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) to earn his help.
 
* July14: Encanto The family Madrigal live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift -- every child except Mirabel. However, she soon may be the Madrigals last hope when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in danger.

It is a world where a young man named Willow lives out an adventure that explodes beyond the boundaries of his own hopes and fears.

* July 28: Labyrinth 

Babysitting her infant stepbrother, Toby on a weekend night isn't young Sarah's idea of fun. Frustrated by his crying, she secretly imagines the Goblins from her favorite book, Labyrinth, carrying Toby away. When her fantasy comes true, a distraught Sarah must enter a maze of illusion to bring Toby back from a kingdom inhabited by mystical creatures and governed by the wicked Goblin King
