Hammond Castle Museum ‘Decks The Halls’ with unique holiday room designs by some of our favorite local florists and interior designers.
Our founder, John Hays Hammond Jr. loved to entertain and welcomed guests from all around the world. It is our joy to open our doors to the public. Our founder, John Hays Hammond Jr. loved to entertain and welcomed guests from all around the world. In keeping with that tradition, we offer guided and self-guided tours. On these tours, our experienced tour guides will provide a contextualized history of John and Irene Hammond, John’s life work as one of the nation’s most prolific inventors, and the various historical artifacts and architectural elements throughout the Museum.

- The Library: Sage Floral Studio: Sage Floral Studio is a European-inspired flower shop. Choose from an artistically styled flower arrangement from our cooler or let us help you create your own bouquet from a wide variety of fresh-cut flowers. We also carry house plants and one of the largest selections of orchid plants on the North Shore. Sage Floral Studio is a full-service florist, making daily deliveries from Cape Ann to Beverly. We also offer a unique selection of gift-ware, showcasing many items Made in America.
- The Courtyard: Horizon Gardens: Located on the North Shore, Horizon Gardens reawakens your journey to a healthy happy lifestyle. We strive to offer garden designs and floral designs to create an experience for you and your family. With our local resources we grow our own organic flowers and fresh vegetables during the warmer months and have a natural-inspired body product line and curated house decor line.
- The Dining Room: Harborside Interiors: We are an HSR Certified Professional home staging and interior redesign organization serving Gloucester, Rockport and the surrounding North Shore area. We have completed the most comprehensive and intensive home staging and redesign certification courses in North America provided by the Home Staging Resource.
- Special Contributor: Chapman’s Florist, Greenhouse, Garden Center & Gift Shop: Chapman’s has over 60 years of wedding experience working with brides and families to make their events come alive with beautiful florals and amazing designs. Whether it is an intimate wedding at your home, an elaborate event at a local North Shore venue, or an extravagant affair at a Boston hotel, we can work with you to make your special day everything you’ve dreamed it would be.
Tickets:
The Museum will be open for guided tours on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Friday, November 5th through January 2nd. Please note we will be closed on January 1st. Tours run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Ticket are: $18 Adults, $15 Seniors and $10 Children ages 5 to 12. Children ages four and under are free but require a ticket. Face masks are required.
Visitors are encouraged to purchase timed tour tickets in advance of their arrival; walk-ins for self-guided tours are welcome. Tickets grant access to the interior of the Museum for a period of approximately 60 minutes. Check in begins 15 minutes prior to the ticketed tour time. Parking is always free. Heavy traffic should be considered when planning your travel time. Please note: all ticket sales are final and exchanges for other tour times are not offered.
