Deck The Halls Holiday Celebration Guided & Self Guided Tours

Join us this holiday season for our fourth annual Decks The Halls holiday celebration!
Enjoy the spirit of the holidays with Christmas Trees in nearly every room, numerous wreaths and candlelight throughout. Immerse yourself in a lost era of quiet luxury and holiday grandeur unlike any other on the North Shore.
Our founder, John Hays Hammond Jr. loved to entertain and welcomed guests from all around the world. In keeping with that tradition, we offer guided and self-guided tours. On these tours, our experienced tour guides will provide a contextualized history of John and Irene Hammond, John’s life work as one of the nation’s most prolific inventors, and the various historical artifacts and architectural elements throughout the museum. Guests should plan 60 minutes to explore the Museum. During guided tours, our experienced tour guides will provide a contextualized history of both the Hammonds and the various artifacts located throughout the Museum. Your guide will spend about half and hour with you and then you will have the opportunity explore the Museum on your own. There is no difference in ticket costs between guided and self-guided tours. If you choose a guided tour, we ask that you remain with your group for the duration of the tour. Self-guided tour tickets are only available on-site. Last tours begin at 3pm. The Museum and Museum Shop close promptly at 4pm.
