The Brotherhood of the Arrow and Sword is an educational based medieval reenactment group dedicated to the presentation and practice of historical European martial arts and other facets of medieval life. Our armored fight demos are high energy and entertaining.
The Brotherhood will perform an armored fight demo as well as explore life on the medieval battlefield.
**On Sunday, October 9th, on-site parking will only be for those with mobility limitations. Free off-site parking for those with Guided Tour tickets or Brotherhood of the Arrow and Sword tickets will be at Gloucester High School, 32 Leslie O. Johnson Road Gloucester. Free shuttles will be running continuously throughout the day between the high school and the Museum. Please allow adequate time for parking and transit by shuttle bus to the Museum, including any possible delay by the Blynman Canal Bridge which when open, prevents traffic flow. **
*This ticket grants you access to the Brotherhood of the Arrow & Sword presentation which will be held outside on the seaside lawn as well as access to the Museum Shop. If ticket holders wish to tour Hammond Castle Museum on the day of this presentation, Self-Guided Tour tickets may be purchased in the Museum Shop at a 20% discount. Last tours begin at 3pm. Proof of purchase of the Brotherhood program will be required.
All proceeds from this program will support the restoration and preservation of the 13th century, French cloister archways which are located at the front of the museum.

The Brotherhood of the Arrow and Sword, based in Southern Maine and Southern New Hampshire, is dedicated to the presentation and practice of medieval history and Historical European Martial Arts. Our presentations and military encampment portray life as it was on the march and on the battlefield during the medieval era. The members practice and demonstrate period correct skills and chores, such as fiber arts, cooking, armor repair archery skills which they present in our hands on, educational military encampment.
