A Tasting At The Castle

Sunday, October 6, 2019

An anonymous donor has offered to match each new ticket sold from today through Sunday for A Tasting At The Castle. For each ticket purchased, a $50 donation will be made to Hammond Castle Museum!

Don’t miss your chance to double the power of your purchase and enjoy a wine and hors d’oeuvres tasting with live jazz played on John Hays Hammond Jr.’s 1920 Chickering grand piano while learning about ongoing restoration efforts and new programming at the museum.

Tickets are $50.00 each and a portion of the ticket price is tax deductible. All proceeds will support restoration and programming at the Museum. Help us meet our benefactor’s challenge and double the impact of your purchase!

If you are unable to attend, but wish to make a donation to support the restoration efforts and new programs at Hammond Castle Museum, please click here.

Woodman’s of Essex –

It began back in 1914 when “Chubby” and Bessie Woodman opened their roadside clam shack on the causeway in Essex, MA. At that time, the TV hadn’t been invented, the average yearly salary was $750, and a gallon of milk cost 32 cents. WWI was just beginning, Babe Ruth was a rookie for the Red Sox, the fried clam hadn’t been created, and it took all day on a beach to cook a New England clambake.
